Well, nothing, I mean NOTHING stings as bad as hitting rock bottom.  At some point in life (and especially over these last 6 months) I’ve talked to many women that have hit their personal rock bottom.  Rock bottom for everyone can look, feel, and act different for everyone.  However, I think that we can all agree that hitting rock bottom feels like someone left you in a deep dark hole with you wondering if and HOW the f**k you are going to dig yourself out.  You are wondering if you are going to see the light of day again.

There are many gnarly encouraging quotes about hitting rock bottom.  However, when rock bottom or “the bottom of the rock” is pressing against your face – I don’t believe in an encouraging quote.  I believe that you need a strategy to help you dig out – fast.

Today’s episode of “The Dr. Grant Show:  When You Feel Like You’ve Hit Rock Bottom” is designed to give you a lifeline.

Now what does this have to do with food addiction and food addiction symptoms such as overeating, binge eating, food cravings, and emotional eating?


I talk to so many women that food binge or stress eat/emotionally eat because they had too many days that lead to hitting rock bottom.  Major life occurrences happen that cause them to hit rock bottom – death, divorce, breakup, taking care of a sick loved one, loss of job, I could go on….

My point is, hitting rock bottom is definitely a TRIGGER for food addiction and I believe in empowering women to face the real issues that happen in their lives HEAD ON!

For those of you that are unfamiliar with the show – “The Dr. Grant Show” was created to help women that struggle with symptoms of food addiction such as overeating, food cravings, and emotional eating. This is because I lost my mother to food addiction.

My mother was so large when she passed away, we barely found a casket for her funeral. After her passing, once things settled down, I realized after seeing some of her journals that she didn’t have a problem with counting calories.  My mother knew what to eat. The REAL problem was that my mother was overcome with life’s challenges. She was simply overwhelmed.  My mother didn’t have the right tools to keep the right mindset when times started stressing her out.

I based “The Dr. Grant Show” on the Phoenix Six Method which is based on my scientific discovery that helped plus sized food addicted women overcome food addiction and learn how to control the urge to binge.
