Many women that I speak to are often “givers” and very determined.
These women have achieved fantastic accomplishments in their lives.
They have families and friends that depend on them.
This is because they are soooo dependable.
They are so dependable and driven, that they exhaust themselves.
How often have we heard ourselves say – “I need some help around here. No, not like that….here, I’ll do it.” Then we “do it” ourselves.
Look, I get it. Doing things ourselves relives so much pressure – and you know that once you do it – it is DONE!! However, have you ever stopped to think about when you shift your schedule so that you can take on something that wasn’t originally “on your plate” that it puts you in a position where you can’t address key items and tasks for you?
Sooo, what does this have to do with your health? Or overeating? Or losing weight?
Hear me out. You shift your schedule to help someone, but it causes you to miss your workout.
You shift your schedule to “take up the slack” at work for your team (for the thousandth time). The schedule shift causes you to work under a time crunch.
You stress out. You finally get home. You overeat.
Starting today, let’s “throw down the gauntlet.” Let’s determine the things that we are going to do for THAT DAY and save the rest for tomorrow.
Let’s start keeping promises to ourselves.
With Much Love,
